NATALIA AUFFRAY

This exhibition deals with a complex universe that encompasses the familiar, the intimate and the social. The feminist tradition of art runs directly through Auffray's work, her research with textiles, with the nature of everyday objects, the personal, the familiar, the intimate encompass a general plane where it is necessary to separate, to take a distance and to observe. Natalia Auffray's work has a stimulus to the intelligence, a need to operate with the physics of volumes and the poetics of language. Nothing is totally concluded, everything could be ....o not, leaving an open field for the imagination, and even so, the truth is that each piece, each sculpture or each installation operates from a very personal authenticity that makes them unmistakable and literally right.
Natalia Auffray has developed a skill for shyness, her work defines on the one hand the contemporary/conceptual language that corresponds to her by space/time location and on the other hand the capacity to treasure in a creative gesture, a feminist universe that connects with the tradition of textiles, yarn and materials. In this exhibition we are going to be able to see a wide range of her works ranging from painting, textile sculpture, or installation that communicate with the artist's personal psyche, her thoughts, reflections or themes that cross her as a woman in a world operated by masculinity and where the sensitive has few followers. Auffray's work is an old work for a new time, an unfinished work awaiting a container to validate it, the certainty of a language awaiting a translator and a vulnerable singularity that cries out for a space of freedom to express itself without absurd judgements. To approach the intimate is an act of courage, of empowerment that this artist carries in the DNA of her work. Immersing ourselves in the sensuality of her work will reconnect us with nature, with the origin, with the earth.

Esta exposición aborda un universo complejo que recorre lo familiar, lo íntimo y lo social. La tradición feminista del arte atraviesa la obra de Auffray de manera directa, su investigación con el textil, con la natura- leza de los objetos cotidianos, lo personal, lo familiar, lo íntimo abarcan un plano general donde es necesario separarse, tomar distancia y observar. Tiene la obra de Natalia Auffray un estímulo a la inteligencia, una nece- sidad de operar con la física de los volúmenes y la poética del lenguaje. Nada esta totalmente concluido, todo pudiera ser ....o no, dejando un campo abierto a la imaginación, y aun así, lo cierto es que cada pieza, cada escultura o cada instalación operan desde una autenticidad muy personal que las hace inconfundibles y literalmente bien acertadas.
Natalia Auffray ha desarrollado una habilidad para la timidez, su obra define por un lado el lenguaje contemporáneo/conceptual que le corresponde por ubicación espacio/tiempo y por otro la capacidad de atesorar en un gesto creacional, un universo feminista que conecta con la tradición del textil, de la hiladura y los materiales. En esta exposición vamos a poder recorrer un período amplio de sus trabajos que van desde la pintura, la escultura textil, o la instalación que se comunican con la psique personal de la artista, sus pensamientos, reflexiones o temáticas que le atraviesan como mujer en un mundo operado por la masculinidad y donde lo sensible tiene pocos adeptos. Es la obra de Auffray una obra vieja para un tiempo nuevo, una obra inacabada en espera de un contenedor que la valide, la certeza de un lenguaje en espera de traductora y una singularidad vulne- rable que pide a gritos un espacio de libertad para expresarse sin juicios absurdos. Abordar lo íntimo es un acto de valentía, de empoderamiento que esta artista lleva en el ADN de su obra. Sumergirnos en la sensualidad de sus trabajos, nos reconectará con la naturaleza, con el origen, con la tierra.
